Midstream Infrastructure
Delivering reliable, large-scale gas transportation across Ghana connecting supply, processing, and power generation through an integrated pipeline system.
Project Overview
Genser Energy’s Natural Gas Pipeline network forms the backbone of its midstream operations, transporting processed gas across key industrial and power generation sites in West Africa.
Over the past five years, Genser Energy has commissioned four natural gas pipelines totaling 430+km. These pipelines serve the company’s Power Solutions and Midstream assets, as well as third-party operations.
As Ghana’s largest and only private owner of natural gas pipelines, Genser Energy plays a critical role in expanding access to reliable energy infrastructure.

Network Components
Genser Energy’s Natural Gas Solutions business unit integrates multiple delivery methods to ensure consistent gas supply across diverse geographies and operational needs.
Fixed pipeline infrastructure forms the backbone of gas transportation across industrial and power generation sites, enabling large-scale, continuous delivery across Genser Energy’s network.
Compressed natural gas transport extends delivery beyond fixed infrastructure, creating a more flexible supply model for geographies or sites where traditional pipeline access may be limited.
Compression infrastructure helps maintain efficient gas movement across long distances and changing demand conditions, supporting consistent performance throughout the transportation network.
Role in the Network
Genser Energy’s pipeline infrastructure links gas processing facilities with power plants and industrial users — enabling a continuous, reliable flow of natural gas across the network.
System Flow
Genser Energy’s pipeline infrastructure links gas processing facilities with power plants and industrial users — enabling a continuous, reliable flow of natural gas across the network.
This connectivity supports stable power generation, operational efficiency, and long-term energy security.
Pipeline Timeline
First pipeline (BP01) started in 2018, expanding to more than 430+km by 2023, with future expansion westwards via virtual pipelines.
